Kat Korpi

Kat Korpi writes sapphic stories starring girls who don’t need to be saved but probably need to go to therapy. While half of her personality comes from her love of action movies, the other half comes from the desperate desire to make her characters kiss—but only after they’ve sufficiently suffered.

She has a degree in film and worked in TV development for the better part of a decade. That background has given her a love for the cinematic, and she strives to create stories that are vivid and gripping (and everything that Nicole Kidman thinks a trip to AMC Theaters is, but in prose form). Writing for both teens and adults, Kat’s books can be best described as technicolor swirls of high-octane danger.

Since being a mentee in the final Pitch Wars class, she has been spending much of her time learning the balance between life and art. Though really, that “balance” is just her Capricorn Sun and her Libra Moon fighting over who gets to be in control.
